For the DRUM! crew, NAMM is always about having too many companies to visit and not enough time. We counted no less than a dozen cymbal companies--not counting the big three, Zildjian, Sabian, and Paiste.. Plus hundreds of new accessories, pedals, microphones, heads, sticks and drums. Here's a few snaps we grabbed yesterday while companies were finishing setup of their booths.

We'll be out on the floor today, conducting interviews with a lot of drummers. Let us know who you want us to talk to, and what you want us to ask. http://www.facebook.com/drummagazinerocks, or email us.

West Wheeler of Taye tells me the 13 x 7 snare has been a most-requested item.

Got a spare $20K. That's what this double kit from Taye rolls in at.

Pat Brown of Pro-Mark must have gotten done early. Nice work, Pat.

Famed builder Ibrahim Diril has a beautiful display of his Turkish handiwork.

We're hoping Cindy Blackman drops by the Istanbul Agop booth.

The most talked-about drums at the show are likely to be Pearl's Pro Electronic kit, with an all-new brain and innovative acoustic set design.

Amedia is another cymbal builder whom we'll hear about at the show.

The DRUM! booth is up and looking good. Eric Frank takes a much-deserved rest.
