Gon Bops Named Company To Watch At NAMM
Momentum has been building up a head of steam behind Gon Bops, the legendary West Coast percussion company that was purchased by Sabian a couple years ago. So it seems fitting that the company was selected as one of the “Companies To Watch” by the Best in Show panel at the 2011 Summer NAMM show last weekend. Made up of six music retail experts, the committee’s Brad Boynton made Gon Bops his choice in this important category.
“They launched the Mariano series, and they are fundamentally different from the rest of the pack. They have some new artists this year. This company is going to be around for a while and definitely one to watch,” declared Boynton to the audience of over 350 NAMM attendees that gathered at Nashville’s Renaissance Hotel. Boynton owns and operates Rhythm Traders, Portland, Oregon’s sole member of the Five Star Drum Shops organization.
