Rock Hall Of Fame Scores Early Van Halen Kit

Alex Van Halen Drum Kit

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame just scored a major coup by acquiring the Ludwig kit Alex Van Halen played during the band’s 1980 World Invasion Tour, which promoted the prototypical hard rock band’s third album, Women And Children First.

There’s no mistaking the infamous white kit, with its pair of bass drum, each clocking in at a length of five feet, array of single-headed toms, pair of quasi Octabons, and omnipresent gong. Congratulations to the Hall Of Fame for scoring such an auspicious kit.
