Why Do Lead Singers Pick On Drummers?
Because they can?

Here are some tips to having a steady income, and live comfortably while still doing what you really love — drumming, that is.
In this lesson we transcribe groove excerpts from four of the heaviest rhythm sections in history. Booty-shaking ensues.
We hadn’t received any mail when we published our very first internationally distributed edition of DRUM! Magazine. So we made them up!
Last month I played a gig at the infamous San Francisco dive The Saloon with Ron Hacker, one of my regular bandleaders and a staple of the Bay Area blues scene. While loading drum cases into the venue, I was surprised to discover an entire film crew setting up inside. I soon discovered that they were there to begin shooting material for an upcoming full-length documentary about Hack. In the end they shot about 19 hours of footage (it was a four-hour gig, so you can do the math to figure out the number of cameras they had on hand). Last weekend Hack sent me a link to the clip above, which the producer put together as a teaser for the full-length production. I’ve had plenty of fans take homemade videos at my gigs, but have rarely seen a production that looks this professional.
